(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) are currently investigating a Fail to Remain collision between a car and bicycle on Rama Road in Ramara Township.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. on August 21, 2013, Orillia OPP were dispatched for a complaint of a person staggering on Rama Road in Ramara Township. On arriving officers located a male party walking on the side of the road. The male was confused and was missing a shoe. The male, 40 years old, from Rama First Nation was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers believed the male may have been struck by a vehicle and investigated further. They located the male’s other shoe and a bicycle in the ditch on the eastbound side of Rama Road. The bicycle was severely damaged and police also located parts of a car at the scene.
OPP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle involved in this incident.
Evidence at the scene indicates that the vehicle was a silver coloured Audi. The vehicle will have damage to the front end and around the right front wheel well.
