Monday May 18th, 2015 just after 7pm police were contacted with respect to a possible impaired driver in the area of Belmont Av W and Glasgow St in Kitchener. The vehicle was observed driving erratically and at a high rate of speed. The vehicle lost control and struck a hydro pole before coming to rest in front of a business in the area of King St S and John St. The driver, a 22 year old Kitchener female, and the passenger, a 32 year old London female, fled on foot and were located by police after a foot pursuit. Both parties were transported to Grand River Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. Criminal charges include; Dangerous Driving, Impaired by Drug, Prohibited Drive Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000,Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Fail to Stop, Breach Probation x2 and Breach Recognizance.
