On October 22, 2014 at 12:40 a.m., the Guelph Police investigated a hit and run collision. It is alleged that a 2013 Mercedes was being driven by a 36-year-old Guelph male north bound on Stevenson Street approaching Cathcart Street. The Mercedes, slowed to a stop just before reaching the intersection when a black SUV slammed into it from behind, reversed and fled the scene. Total damage is estimated at $1,500 and no injuries are reported.
