(GRENVILLE, ON) – On September 1, 2013 at approximately 12:30am, members of the Grenville detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a hit and run collision on County Road 2, near Irace Drive, Augusta Township.
Upon arriving, officers launched an investigation, notifying the Brockville Police Service.
A short time later, Brockville Police Service arrested an adult male. The OPP arrested a second adult male later in the morning.
Both men are presently in police custody facing charges.
A 16-year-old male was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.
The joint investigation, led by Detective Inspector Jim Smyth, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, is continuing. More information will be released as it becomes available.
