(Oro-Medonte, ON) The members of the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are requesting the assistance of the public in solving this crime.
Sometime between Wednesday August 19th and Saturday August 22nd 2015, unknown person or persons attended at an historic church located on Bass Lake Side Rd, Oro-Medonte Twp. Suspect(s) gained entry by smashing a side window, several thousand dollars in damages to antique furniture including a piano, pulpit, chairs, pews and stove piping. Chair legs were embedded in the walls along with the words “hoop it”. A 3 foot x 1.5 foot wooden cross and 2 ceramic plaques with bible verses on them were also stolen.
