(Elgin County) – Due to a collision in the west bound lanes of Highway 401 between Graham Road and Furnival Road, West Elgin, Elgin County Ontario the west bound lanes have been closed and are not expected to re-open until 4pm. It is suggested that people attending the War of 1812 Bi-Centennial Events in the Chatham area seek alternate routes to the events to avoid long delays.
It is suggested that for Westbound travelers to take Highway #402 to Longwoods Road then travel west on Longwoods Road to Thamesville OR take Highway # 3 west to Hill Road then North to Victoria Road then continue North to Thamesville.
East bound traveller are suggested to exit at Victoria Road (exit 109) then travel North to Thamesville.
