High Winds – Rolled Vehcile

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) Perth County OPP officers were called to numerous incidents caused by high winds within the county.

On Saturday and Sunday evenings April 3rd and 4th officers responded to downed branches and debris blown on to roadways, causing traffic hazards. The wind also activated Intrusion alarms at a number of residences, businesses and schools within the county.

One traffic collision on Sunday evening can be linked to the high winds. A motor vehicle was being driven in an east bound direction on Line 84 south, east of Listowel. The driver a 20 year old Listowel resident swerved to miss a tree branch which had blown onto the road. The vehicle entered the south ditch and swerved back onto the recently graded gravel roadway.
