Hero Victim Tracks Down Criminal Then Calls Police – Tyler Curzon-Watt Arrested

On November 12, 2016 the Guelph Police became involved in a fraud investigation. A Guelph man had lost his Visa card sometime overnight and was now seeing use of the card on his account. He saw where the most recent use was and attended to this location on Silvercreek Parkway North. He spoke with the store employees who gave him a description of the man that made the purchase. He then located the man in the area and called police. Police arrived shortly after and arrested the man. A subsequent search discovered cheques that had been reported stolen on November 9, 2016 and a prohibited knife. Investigation has found that a second male was also involved. He has been identified and is presently being sought by police.

Tyler Curzon-Watt, 25 years of Guelph has been charged with possession of stolen property, carry a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited weapon, use stolen credit card, three counts of breach of probation and two counts of breach weapon prohibition. He will appear in court on November 14, 2016.
