(SEGUIN TOWSHIP, ON) – On October 26, 2013 at approximately 10:29 p.m. the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting R.I.D.E. checkpoint at the intersection of Lake Joseph Road and Hwy 612 when a pickup truck drove through the checkpoint. Police Officers got into their cruisers, activated their emergency lights and pursued the vehicle down a dead end road where the vehicle finally stopped. Upon contact with the driver, Officers observed an impaired driver.
Heath BILLINGTON, 44 years of age from Seguin Township was charged with the following:
– Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
– Drive motor vehicle with blood alcohol over 0.80 mg
– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
– Flight from police
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on December 12, 2013 to be spoken to about his charges.
