(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a two vehicle collision on Road 68 in Zorra Township shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
The collision occurred on Road 68 between the 21st Line and 23rd Line. An eastbound car crossed the centre line and struck a westbound pickup truck head on.
The lone adult male driver of the car was extricated from his vehicle and transported to area hospital with life threatening injuries. He remains in hospital with critical injuries. The adult female driver of the pickup truck and the adult male passenger were also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Investigation (TTCI) Team attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The Township of Zorra Fire Department and Oxford County EMS attended and assisted at the scene. Roads in the area were closed for several hours.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
