(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A Central Huron resident will be making a trip to Provincial Offences court later this spring following a near head-on collision that took place earlier this week.
On March 5th around 4:30 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on Blyth Road near Council Line when he observed a sedan come up from behind and pass his unmarked patrol vehicle and other civilian vehicles at an extremely high rate of speed. In the process of making the dangerous pass the driver nearly caused a head-on crash.
The driver was stopped and was subsequently arrested and charged.
Stephen FEDDES, 49 years of age from Central Huron has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the offence of Careless Driving. He will have to attend Provincial Offences Court in Goderich later this spring to answer to the charge.
