(NORFOLK, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have been called in to investigate the theft of an OPP issued handgun from the Norfolk County OPP Detachment.
The incident was reported to OPP command by a member reporting that sometime between March 6 – 14 2014, his force issued Sig Sauer P229 handgun and ammunition magazine had been stolen from a locked gun box within the detachment. Acting Detective Inspector Dave Robinson of the Criminal Investigation Branch has been assigned to the investigation.
