GUELPH WOMAN CHARGED WITH OVER 80 MGS

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 25, 2014 at approximately 8:11 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Wellington Road 29 near the Guelph-Eramosa/Garafraxa Townline in Centre Wellington Township. Officers investigated the driver of a 2003 Toyota that they observed pull over to the side of the road prior to entering the R.I.D.E. program.

Upon speaking with the driver police determined that she had been drinking. She was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and her motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Julie LLOYD aged 48 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 16, 2014 to answer to the charge.
