(Bancroft, Ontario) – During the afternoon hours on the 9th of February 2016, an officer with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) had occasion to stop a vehicle on County Road 620 in the Township of Wollaston. During that stop, the officer obtained grounds to believe that the male driver was operating the vehicle with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit.
The male driver was arrested and brought back to the Bancroft O.P.P. Detachment where he provided a sample of his breath to a qualified intoxilizer technician. As a result of the subsequent analysis of that breath sample, it was determined that he his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit.
Charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood is Graham BLAIR of Limerick Township. He was released on a Promise to Appear notice with a first appearance date of the 23rd of February 2016 in Bancroft Court.
