(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) -On February 6, 2014, at approximately 10:10 a.m., officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) executed a warrant at an apartment occupied by a male and female on Main Street West, Palmerston. Officers searched the residence and seized a significant amount of marihuana, methamphetamines, and codeine. A Japanese throwing star which is a prohibited weapon and a pellet gun were seized.
Gordon KEESO age 47 and Elizabeth VERNER age 38 both of Palmerston, have been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Codeine, Production of Marihuana, all contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. They were also charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and both appeared in Guelph Bail Court on February 7, 2014 to answer to the charges.
