(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Wednesday April 13, 2016, shortly after 11 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to Royal Street East in Listowel where a resident was following a suspect who was checking the doors on parked vehicles.
The officers located the suspect and arrested her. She was found to be in possession of stolen property removed from an unlocked vehicle parked in a residential driveway on Royal Street East.
42-year-old Tammy WETTLAUFER of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences; “Theft under $5,000 from motor vehicle”, and “Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000”. She was also charged with the Liquor Licence Act offence of; “Being intoxicated in a public place”. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on May 18, 2016, where she will have to answer to the charges.
