(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On January 31, 2014 at approximately 9:21 p.m. members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Gibson Street in the Town of Parry Sound that led to several traffic-related charges including a drinking and driving charge.
Glen MOFFATT, 42 years of age from McDougall Township, was charged with the following:
– Driving with more than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
– Driving while Disqualified – Provincial Suspension, contrary to the CCC
– Driving While under Suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
– Drive Motor Vehicle, No Validated Permit, contrary to the HTA
– Fail to Surrender Required Documents, contrary to the HTA
– Fail to Have Insurance Card, Contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA)
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on February 20, 2014 to answer to his charges.
