(LAMBTON, ON) – On Wednesday January 18th, 2017 just after 3:30 p.m., while on routine patrol, a member the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Courtright Line, Brooke-Alvinston Township.
During the traffic stop, the officer observed open alcoholic beverages in the vehicle and could detect an odour of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver. A road side breath demand was made which resulted in a Fail. The driver was consequently arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP for breath testing which resulted in readings over the legal limit.
As a result, 55 year old Gary Robert FINDLAY of Southwest Middlesex ON has been charged with,
Driving With More Than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood
The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday February 6th, 2017.
