On September 4, 2013 at 5:00 p.m., the Guelph Police were called to a bank in the south end where there was a report of two females attempting to open a bank account with fraudulent identification. Police attended and were able to find the two females in the immediate area of the bank. Both females were arrested and several bank and credit cards with different names were found on their person. Police also discovered that the females had defrauded several banks throughout the City of Guelph.
Two adult females from Quebec have been charged with possession of identity information, personation, fraud and possession of government identification. Both were held in custody and will appear in court on September 5, 2013.
