Former Real Estate Agent Kelly TOUSEK Charged With Break and Enter, Fraud

The Waterloo Regional Police Break and Enter team has made an arrest in regards to a trend of real estate frauds and break and enters in Waterloo Region. Kelly TOUSEK, 39 years old, a Kitchener resident and previous local real estate agent is alleged to have committed one break and enter into a residential home in Cambridge and attempted to commit two others in Kitchener.

Investigators were originally contacted by the home owner as they were away during a house showing when their house was broken into. Investigators are alleging TOUSEK fraudulently contacted other real estate agents requesting showings. Once the showing was set up she was able to gain entry as if she was an active real estate agent and stole numerous items of value. All three break and enters occurred in July of 2016. TOUSEK was arrested July 21, 2016. She was remanded into custody with her next court appearance scheduled on Monday, July 25, 2016. TOUSEK is currently charged with the following: • Break and Enter Commit • Break and Enter with Intent x 2 • Identity Fraud x 3 Police are asking the real estate community to contact investigators with any similar incidents in an attempt to locate potential further victims.
