Guelph Police Traffic Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding a five vehicle collision on Gordon Street that occurred Friday December 13, 2013.
It is alleged that at approximately 5:00 p.m., a Ford pick-up truck being operated by a 52-year-old Guelph man was travelling northbound on Gordon Street (north of Stone Road). The driver suffered from an unknown episode and crossed the center median striking four southbound vehicles in a head-on style collision.
In total, eight parties were involved in the collision and transported to Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries. Three of the vehicles involved were demolished and damages are estimated to be over $40,000. This section of roadway was closed for approximately five hours as officers reconstructed the events leading up to the collision.
