Firearms Stolen During Break And Enter – Males Facing Charges

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a break and enter at a Charlotteville West Quarter Line Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Saturday, February 11, 2017 at approximately 10:14 a.m., police received a call from a resident reporting a break and enter.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that unknowns attended the address in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 11, 2017 and forcibly gained entry into a building located on the property. Once inside, unknowns entered a locked gun cabinet and removed several firearms.

The firearms consisted of the following:

Browning High Power Semi-Auto 9mm with two(2) Ten(10) round magazines

Smith and Wesson Model 27, Magnum Revolver – .357 calibre

Smith and Wesson Model 31 Revolver – .32 Calibre

Smith and Wesson Model 31 Revolver – .32 Calibre

Smith and Wesson Model 34 Revolver – .22 Calibre

Sako Finn Bear Bolt Action – 30.06 Calibre with Tasko Scope

Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action – .243 Calibre with Wever Scope

Wingmaster Model 870 Pump Shot Gun – 12 Gauge with slug barrel

Cooey Winchester Bolt Action – .22 Calibre with Wever scope

Five (5) round fixed magazine

The theft is estimated at approximately $8,000 dollars.

On Thursday, February 16, 2017, members of the Norfolk County Street Crime Unit along with Canine Services and the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed a search warrant at a Charlotteville West Quarter Line Road, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged the following individuals.

Charged with the following offences is 37-year-old Lloyd Robert ZUFELF of Norfolk County, Ontario:

Break and Enter

Trafficking in Firearm, Weapon, Device or Ammunition

Unauthorized possession of firearm

Careless storage or Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 X4

Fail to comply with Probation Order.

Charged with the following offences is 70-year-old Harvey FORREST of Norfolk County, Ontario:

Careless storage or Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition

Unauthorized possession of firearm

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 X4

Possession of Marihuana

Charged with possession of Marihuana is 63-year-old Irene REEDER of Norfolk County, Ontario.

All are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
