(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Monday, April 6, 2015 at approximately 9:10 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a structure fire on 8th Concession “A”, west of Feversham, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The 4100 sq. ft. commercial building, known as McIntyre Aggregates, was completely engulfed in flames upon police arrival. The Grey Highlands Fire Department was able to control the fire which destroyed the building and its contents, including a rock truck and an excavator. A vehicle and a skid steer parked next to the building were also destroyed. There were no injuries reported.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office (OFM) and the Ministry of Environment (MOE) were notified.
Damage was estimated to be in excess of $500,000.
The investigation continues.
