(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible fire at the Meaford Hall located on Nelson Street in the Municipality of Meaford. Occupants evacuated the building as a precaution.
The Meaford Fire Department attended. A light bulb had come into contact with a curtain causing it to smolder, creating smoke in the main theatre area.
There were no injuries reported and the damage to property was minor.
