FESTIVE R.I.D.E. PROGRAM FINDS DISQUALIFIED DRIVER

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On January 11, 2014 at approximately 1:04 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Festive R.I.D.E. team were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 7 and Woolwich-Guelph Townline, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A male driver of a 2008 Acura was spoken with and it was discovered that he was to have an “Ignition Interlock” device on the motor vehicle he was driving. There was no device on the vehicle.

The motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Bronson PHACHANHLA age 29 of Kitchener has been charged with Driving While Disqualified-by court order, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on February 21, 2014 to answer to the charge.
