(Selwyn Township., ON) – On Friday September 13, 2013, members of the Peterborough County OPP were contacted by Community Car of Peterborough regarding a possible fraud allegation.
Officers from Peterborough County OPP initiated an investigation into an allegation that several fraudulent actions had been conducted by an employee of the Community Care Charity.
On Saturday September 14, 2013, a Criminal Code Search warrant was conducted at a residence on Evans Drive in the City of Peterborough in order to secure evidence of the allegations.
As a result of the investigation, a former employee of Community Care, 36 year old Jamie GOODALL of Selwyn Township was arrested, and charged with, Criminal Breach of Trust, Uttering a Forged Document x2, and Fraud Under $5000.
GOODALL was held for a bail hearing in Peterborough Courts and was released with a future court date of 4 October 2013.
The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.
