(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – A 50-year-old London, ON man is dead after he came in contact with some live electrical wires while trimming a tree.
The incident occurred around 3:25 p.m. today July 20th, 2015 at a private residence on Avon Dr. just east of Imperial Rd., Malahide Township. The male victim was up on an aluminum ladder trimming some branches for the residence owner, who was a friend, when he somehow came in contact with live electrical wires. The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Malahide Fire Services, EMS and Ontario Hydro all attended the scene. The male was airlifted to hospital where he later pronounced deceased
No foul play is suspected and a post mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow July 21st, 2015 to determine the cause of death.
