(FRENCH RIVER, ON) – On March 13, 2015 at approximately 7:00 pm, members of the Warren and Noelville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachments were called to a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) collision along an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail off of Prevost Road in Noelville.
The snowmobile driver was following another snowmobile when it lost control and the driver was ejected. Jeffery POCKELE, age 40, from Noelville was transported by ambulance to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Investigation by the Noelville OPP Detachment is continuing with the assistance of OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI). Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in this collision.
A post mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2015, in Sudbury.
