(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On January 7, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious collision involving a tractor trailer and a pedestrian on Wellington Road 6 near the 6th Line, Town of Minto.
Officers responded along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS),Town of Minto Fire Department and Wellington County Roads. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name will not be released until next of kin have been notified. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by the Wellington County OPP and the West Region OPP Highway Safety Division. Wellington Road 6 remains closed between the 6th Line and the 8th Line.
