Fatal Pedestrian Collision Police Seek Witnesess

(TECUMSEH) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has identified the pedestrian struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Highway 401 in Tecumseh, Ontario. On November 9, 2016 at approximately 6:50 p.m., Cory Lynn DAUPHIN, age 35 of Windsor, Ontario was in the westbound lanes of the 401 Highway when she was struck by a motor vehicle that did not stop at the collision and has yet to be identified.

It is still unknown why DAUPHIN was on the highway, although a blue Chevrolet registered to her was parked on the shoulder near the collision scene.

Witnesses have advised police that vehicles, including a tractor trailer occupied by two men had stopped shortly after the collision but did not provide their names and left the scene prior to police arriving.

The OPP are requesting that anyone that stopped at this collision or may have been in the vicinity of the 401 Highway west of County Road 19 (Manning Road) at approximately 6:50 p.m. last evening, immediately contact them at 519-723-2491.
