FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – DRIVER IDENTIFIED

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) County of Brant detachment is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision at a German School Road, County of Brant, ON address.

On Saturday August 16th, 2014 at approximately 10:50 pm a black 2004 Hyundai passenger car was travelling eastbound on German School Road east of St. George Road when for unknown reasons the car left the roadway and entered the north ditch. The car travelled a short distance before striking a culvert and driveway where the driver was then ejected, striking the roadway.

County of Brant Fire Department and County of Brant paramedics attended the scene and provided emergency medical aid to the driver identified as 20 year old Julian AMBROSE of Dundas, ON. He was then transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased by the attending physician.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with the investigation.

Investigators are considering lack of seatbelt use and speed as being contributing factors in this collision.
