(Dryden, ON.) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 within the city of Dryden limits near the Twin Towers just after 7pm on January 23, 2014. Officers were on scene along with Northwest EMS and Dryden Fire Service. A passenger vehicle had collided with a Tractor Trailer Unit. The passenger vehicle had 5 occupants and the female driver, Debbie HILL (46yrs old) of Sioux Lookout died as a result of her injuries. The other passengers of the vehicle reported to have minor injuries and were treated at Dryden Regional Health Center and later released. The driver of the Tractor Trailer Unit was not injured. The incident is still under investigation. Highway 17 has been reopened to both lanes.
