(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing the investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision which took place in The Blue Mountains early on Wednesday morning.
On the 24th of September 2014 at approximately 12:40am, officers along with The Blue Mountains Fire Department were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on the 10th Line just north of Grey Road 119. A passing motorist came upon a vehicle on fire in the ditch which appeared to be on its roof and called police.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze and the OPP Technical Collision Investigators were called to document and investigate the crash which resulted in the roadway being closed for several hours.
The identity of the driver has not been confirmed at this time and investigation is ongoing.
