(CALEDON, ON) – On Thursday, October 31, 2013 shortly before 7 pm, the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Emergency Services personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision on Regional Road 50. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Fit vehicle was exiting a restaurant onto the highway when the vehicle was struck by a northbound Acura MDX. The driver of the Honda Fit and her passenger were transported to a local hospital then airlifted to a trauma centre. The driver of the Acura was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
In the early hours of November 1st, the female driver, Agnes Potter, 80, of Caledon succumbed to her injuries. The female passenger remains in critical condition at a trauma centre.
