Fatal Collision Update – Name of Deceased Dirtbiker Released

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision at a Robinson Road, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Monday, August 1, 2016 at approximately 10:24 p.m., OPP, Haldimand County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to Robinson Road for a collision involving a motor vehicle and an off-road vehicle.

Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that a silver coloured Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), was being operated by a 28-year-old female of Haldimand County, Ontario and was travelling southbound on Robinson Road. An off-road dirt-bike was being operated by a 44-year-old male of Haldimand County, Ontario and was travelling northbound on Robinson Road when both vehicles collided head-on.

As a result of the collision, 44-year-old Stacy Albert EDGAR was ejected from his dirt bike and suffered life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Technical Traffic Collision Investigators assisted with the investigation.

Robinson Road was closed between Stringer Road and Bartlett Road to allow for further investigation.
