(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a crash involving a single tractor trailer unit (TTU) just before 6:30 am on Friday December 12, 2014. The collision closed one lane of Highway 17, west of Vermilion Bay for several hours.
The OPP have confirmed the name of the deceased driver of the TTU as 26 year old Harpreet Singh SANDHU of Mississauga, Ontario. The passenger of the TTU, a 20 year old Brampton man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation by OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) is continuing.
