(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a motor vehicle collision on the 12th Side Road near Grey Road 19 in The Blue Mountains last Friday morning.
The collision scene, involving a single motor vehicle, was discovered by an officer on patrols at approximately 2:00am on the 27th of March 2015. Firefighters and paramedics attended the scene as well where the lone female occupant had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to an area hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.
OPP can now identify the deceased driver as 22 year-old Mandy MCCOLOUGH of The Blue Mountains.
Investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI).
