(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On September 4, 2016 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal collision involving a single motor vehicle on Wellington Road 21 near the 6th Line, Centre Wellington Township. The vehicle was westbound and left the roadway for an unknown reason causing it to rollover.
A lone male occupant was taken by Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased. His name will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue along with Wellington County Roads Department attended the scene.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators and the road remains closed.
