(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – Members of the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision on the 19th Line at Road 64 in Zorra Township at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Sunday September 7, 2014.
The head on collision occurred when a westbound Chevrolet motor vehicle crossed the center lane and struck an eastbound motorcycle.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) all responded to assist at this location.
The male motorcycle driver, Andrezej KLOC, 55 year of London, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The lone male driver of the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries where he was treated and released.
The 19th Line was closed several hours for the investigation.
OPP have charged the driver of the Chevrolet motor vehicle, George PICKERING, 70 years old of Zorra Township, with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death
Causing Death by Criminal Negligence
PICKERING was held for a bail hearing on Monday September 8, 2014 and was released on a Recognizance of Bail.
