(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On September 19, 2014 at approximately 4:30pm Quinte West OPP, Quinte West Fire Department as well as Hastings-Prince Edward EMS responded to County Rd 2 for the report of a motor vehicle collision.
When police arrived on scene a motor vehicle was observed in the ditch with front end damage. The driver of the motor vehicle had to be extracted from the vehicle and was transported by air ambulance to hospital with serious injuries. The 68 year old male from Hastings succumb to his injuries on September 20th.
A 25 year old female from Quinte West has been charged with Turn Not in Safety as well a Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence.
The road was closed from approximately 5:00pm until midnight.
