(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is warning farmers of suspicious activities in the farming community after a break and enter was reported from a Lower Side Road, Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, September 27, 2013 in the early morning hours, unknowns attended the address and gained entry into a locked barn located on the property. Once inside, unknowns proceeded to remove a John Deere X3320 tractor with a 300 CX bucket attached to it. Unknowns then entered a second lock barn, removing a Whirlpool electric dryer, two large bags of grass seed and eight bales of straw.
Unknowns then attended the residence and gained entry. Once inside, unknowns removed a brown guitar amplifier, two microphones, a Homelite rototiller and two pails of concrete sealer.
The theft is estimated at approximately $37,500 dollars.
