(Ottawa, ON) – August 20, 2015, at approximately 1:33 pm, an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Highway Safety Division (HSD) was conducting seatbelt enforcement on the westbound St. Laurent Boulevard on ramp to Highway 417.
The officer stopped a motorist not wearing his seatbelt. As a result of the investigation, the male driver, 53 year old Marc LACHAINE of Ottawa, is charged with:
Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood;
Driver – fail to properly wear seat belt;
Drive motor vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device while prohibited from doing so;
HTA 32(1) Drive motor vehicle – no licence; and
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor.
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ottawa on September 16, 2015.
