Occurrence #: BA14059725
Date: Friday, December 12, 2014 – 4:00am
The Barrie Police Traffic Unit and Uniform Patrols Division partnered to conduct a R.I.D.E. detail in the City of Barrie. A total of 410 cars were stopped during the R.I.D.E. program, and a total of 4 Roadside Screening Devices were administered with one Drug Standard Field Sobriety Test conducted, ending with fabulous results. No Impaired Driving Charges, No Warn Range Suspensions and No Drug Driving Arrests. This is a positive step; but we still need to remember if you plan to drink, make the right choice, don’t get into a vehicle if you have consumed any alcohol. Take a taxi, designated driver service, public transit, or arrange for a designated driver.
The Barrie Police Traffic Unit remains committed to road and pedestrian safety.
