(PORT HOPE, ON) –On October 20, 2015 at 5:18am Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Port Hope Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of an explosion at a residence on Lunny Lane, Port Hope.
Investigators have located the body of a deceased person within the remains of the home and are attempting to identity the victim.
Lunny Lane has been re-opened to traffic as investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office continue their investigation assisted by Northumberland OPP Crime Unit.
Port Hope Fire Department remains at the scene to assist township officials in the clearing of debris. The public is being asked to limit their travels to the immediate area while clean-up efforts are underway.
