(MATHESON) – An officer with the Matheson OPP has arrested and charged a Ramore, Ontario, man with Possession of a Controlled Substance stemming from a disturbance at a local arena within the town of Matheson on August 31st.
Ontario Provincial Police officers were called to the Vern Miller Arena in Matheson in response to a report of a disturbance.
Once on scene, they arrested a 21 year old man for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
A search of the man revealed that he was in possession of a substance believed to be cocaine.
As a result, Eric LASALLE, 21, of Ramore, Ontario, has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.
The accused person is required to attend at Provincial Court, in Timmins on November 25th, to answer to the charge laid against him.
