(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male driver this morning after being dispatched to a collision on Wintergreen Place in The Blue Mountains.
At approximately 4:20am this morning, the 4th of March 2014, officers were dispatched to a collision on Wintergreen Place involving a Dodge car and a parked front end loader (snow removal vehicle). Police interactions with the driver found that he was under the influence of alcohol and as such he was arrested and transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 35 year-old Elton ALLEN of Toronto, he is facing charges of driving while ability impaired and driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in blood. He is to appear in Owen Sound court on the 10th of April 2014. He was not injured in the collision.
