(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on December 25, 2015 conducted a traffic stop on a Snowmobile travelling at a high rate of speed near 7th avenue. On further investigation police determined the Snowmobile had been recently stolen from another address in Sioux Lookout.
The operator of the Snowmobile was identified as a Dylan BINGUIS, a 23 year old male from Sioux Lookout. He has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
1 x of Break and Enter
1 x of Theft of Motor Vehicle
1 x of Breach of Probation
1 x of Possession of Stolen Property obtained by crime
2 x of Mischief under $5,000
He has also been charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act with the following offences:
1 x Fail to Wear Helmet
1 x Operate Motorized Snow Vehicle while suspended
Dylan BINGUIS was held for bail and is still in custody. His next scheduled court date is January 5, 2016 in Sioux Lookout.
