(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) A Kirkfield resident faces an alcohol related charge after short foot pursuit.
On September 1, 2013 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a male party walking along Albert Street in Coboconk with an open beer. The male ran from police but the officer was able to catch up with him in a short distance.
The accused, Dustin KING, 26 years of age, was intoxicated at the time of the incident. Mr. KING was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for the offence of having an open container of liquor in other than licenced premises, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
