(Madoc Twp, ON) – On August 30, 2013 at 7:50 p.m. Central Hastings O.P.P received a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver on Highway #62 near Riggs Road in Madoc Township. Initial information described a northbound vehicle almost striking a southbound vehicle then later the driver was reportedly stumbling outside of his car. Officers arrived on scene and determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result, 27 year old Justin BELL of Harrowsmith, ON was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80mgs. He will appear in Belleville Provincial Court on September 26, 2013.
(Tweed, ON) – On August 31, 2013 at 2:50 p.m. while conducting a R.I.D.E Program on Flinton Road near Highway # 7 in the Municipality of Tweed, Central Hastings O.P.P officers interacted with a female driver of a southbound vehicle. It was determined that she had been consuming alcohol and she subsequently failed a roadside screening device. As a result , 52 year old Mary WALSH of Belleville, ON was charged with Over 80mgs. She will appear in Belleville Provincial Court on September 26, 2013.
(Tweed, ON) – On September 2, 2013 at 3:40 a.m. Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a collision on Quin-mo-lac Road near Rapids Road in the Municipality of Tweed involving a vehicle that struck a hydro pole. The driver 24 year old Tyson TERRION of Marmora, ON was charged with Over 80mg and Breach of Probation. He will appear in Belleville Provincial Court on October 17, 2013. A female passenger was treated on scene with minor injuries.
