Drunk Driver Sends Mother And Three Children To Hospital

(BARRIE, ON) – On Thursday November 9, 2016 at 6:03 PM Officers from Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover collision near the intersection of Line 5 and Ridge Road in Oro-Medonte Township.

Reports indicated that people were trapped in the vehicle.

Upon arrival Officers determined that there was an adult passenger with her three children and the driver had fled the scene. After a short search the driver was located and arrested

Simcoe County Paramedics and Oro-Medonte Fire Fighters attended the scene to treat the injured. The children and their mother were transported to hospital due to their injuries.

Driving While Ability Impaired Causing Bodily Harm – 4 Counts

Exceeding 80 Milligrams of Alcohol In Blood causing accident with bodily harm – 4 Counts

Fail to Stop at the scene of accident
